I wanted to know what they meant by a three-hour window.
My appointment was for eleven. Did that mean he could be there between 8AM and 2AM? She must have thought I was being cocky, which maybe I was, but I didn’t understand what a three-hour window was. I knew the HVAC technician was never on time. Just how much time did I need to take off work so I would be home for the HVAC technician. I knew they could run into trouble with another repair, or it could go so well, it would take less time to do the repair. I just wanted an approximate time, and she told me it was a three-hour window. I told my boss I wouldn’t be in the next day and the HVAC technician was to be there. He laughed and told me about the fiasco he had with the HVAC technician. He was almost three hours late, and then he didn’t have the parts for the furnace. The man had to come back the next morning. Luckily, he had someone who could come to the house and sit there while waiting for the HVAC technician. I promised I would be there the following day. He told me if I couldn’t make it, just give him a call, because he knew what I was going through. The HVAC technician is never on time, and if he is, it will still be a very long day. I thanked him for his ununderstanding.
