A glamorous room filled with European furniture

My fiance Max & I have some odd tastes in furniture, so when my superb friend and I were trying to decide on how we wanted to decorate our master rooms, it was quite the challenge.

Max prefers things on the easier side & wants natural wood furniture for our room.

Max even advocated for making a few custom pieces for the room. I am not against custom built furniture, but it just doesn’t click with the look I was going for. I enjoy a truly glamorous room with charming furniture that looks like something out of a house decor magazine, and consisting of light, clean color fabrics to offset the dark wood furniture. I also love a big canopy bed & have constantly wanted one. After some compromising, in the end, Max decided to allow me to decorate the kitchen even though I wanted, then so, Max and I have a glamorous kitchen with European furniture that is fit for a king and queen, & I do feel charming when I am lying in my plush king-size bed. Of course, Max got something out of the compromise. Since he does most of the cooking, Max was able to decorate the kitchen but he wanted. So, Max decided to add a few custom made pieces to the space. Instead of a traditional island, Max and I have a massive wooden table that he had built. And I must admit it adds a lot of character to the space. Although Max & I have odd tastes in furniture, my superb friend and I make things work. I can have my own glamorous kitchen & Max can have his kitchen, that is a mix of rustic & modern elements.
