It had been a long winter, and now I was looking forward to summer.
I couldn’t wait for the air conditioner season and not worry about heating the house. Our furnace was on its last leg, and it no longer heated like it once did. We went through more oil this year than we ever had, and it cost twice as much as it did last year. The furnace broke down three times, which meant we had higher Heating & A/C bills than we ever had. All I wanted to do was get through the next month, and I could replace the furnace and look at buying a new heating unit. We updated the air conditioner component last year, and I knew it was going to work well this summer. I wanted to hang out at the pool for a while, and go into the condo and relax in the a/c. My partner had other thoughts. He wanted to purchase the furnace and have it updated during the winter. He said that once the furnace was updated he wanted to go on getaway. I argued that once we updated the furnace, we couldn’t afford to go on getaway, but that just made him mad. The nicest part of summer time wasn’t swimming and enjoying the air conditioner. The nicest part of summer time wasn’t having a new furnace installed for the winter. The nicest part of summer time was when my partner left me alone during summer time because he was mad at me for not taking him on a getaway. Summer turned out to be a blast.
