My five-year-old child was devastated when the Heating & A/C worker left the condo last week.
She spent time walking around the condo with her while she looked at the HVAC duct to see how much of it needed updated.
She talked to her and asked about her kids and wanted to know if she had any daughters her age. By the time she left, my child acted like she had lost her best friend. Later that day, she offered me a sad look. She asked if she will ever see the Heating & A/C worker again? I told her she could come back when they put the new HVAC duct in, but I couldn’t be sure. She sighed and took a deep breath. She said she thought she loved her, but she had come and gone out of her life too hastily. I bit my lip to keep from laughing, and I walked out of the room. I spoke with my sister to see if she had left my child to watch soap operas with her again, and told her the story of the Heating & A/C worker. My sister was laughing, and told me that was cute, but I wasn’t so sure. Two mornings later, my child was talking to someone on my phone. She asked who the Heating & A/C worker was? I thought she was talking to my sister, but it was the Heating & A/C corporation. They had called to let me feel the Heating & A/C worker would be here to install the new HVAC duct. I was hoping it would be a weird Heating & A/C worker, but it wasn’t. The only great thing was that she brought her child with her to play with my daughter.
