I am so thankful to own a appealing four kitchen house, however it is quite taxing and extravagant to keep the home heated. My fiance and I purchased our appealing home about one year after my friend and I were married; Before my friend and I bought our house, my friend and I lived in a studio apartment, so I was truly ready to move into something larger. For the first few months, I was infatuated with our modern home. I spent hours painting and decorating our it, and I enjoyed every second of it. After about four months, winter season hit, and it hit hard. Our home is a little older, and the heating system just couldn’t keep up. We tried a couple odd things to try and keep heat from escaping and chilly air from entering, however it just didn’t work. We put blankets on the windows and doors, and it did make a small difference however not enough to keep the home comfortable. We ended up supplementing heat. We purchased some small, electric heaters for the kitchens and lavatory, and then I bought an electric fireplace for the kitchen area. It was a little extravagant to buy these things, however they have entirely saved us a lot of money in the long run. Now that my friend and I have those electric heaters and our fireplace, the home is much warmer. One other thing that my friend and I did that genuinely made a difference was adding more insulation to our home. Insulating was quite a project, however it has made such a difference in keeping the heat in the house. In the end, it was a lot of work, however my friend and I now have a much warmer house, and I adore it!
