There are many times in life where my friend and I simply have to do things that might not be the most efficient way to do things however the only way that works at the time.
My fiance and I don’t usually heat our home using our stovetop.
For one, it’s quite dangerous, and it’s genuinely not truly efficient, however desperate times call for desperate measures; You see, my friend and I lost power about three days ago, and it is the middle of September, apparently, there was a big accident, and several poles went down. Our heating system isn’t working separate from electricity of course, so my friend and I had to come up with some creative ways to heat our house. We have a small propane fireplace that my friend and I have been using, and it genuinely helps keep the home above chilly, however that’s about how far it goes. My fiance brought in a couple kerosene heaters he had in his garage, and that is how my friend and I are heating our big basement which is where our kitchen is and where my friend and I spend most of our time. The kitchen and kitchen part was by far the coldest in the home until my friend and I decided to light our stovetop. We know it’s not a safe method of heating, however my friend and I have been closely monitoring it, and my friend and I constantly turn it off when no one is home and when my friend and I are all downstairs in the kitchen. I spend most of my morning in the kitchen, so I am genuinely thankful that my friend and I figured out a way to keep it warm. Hopefully, the power will come back on soon, however until then, my friend and I are making do with what my friend and I have!
