It’s true that you really never know just who you are going to run into.
But I sure was glad to spend an afternoon with our HVAC technician.
We have lived here now almost a decade. And the HVAC technician who normally handles all of our HVAC maintenance has been there since the beginning. When we bought the house, we had to pretty much immediately replace the heating and cooling equipment. That was a project that really couldn’t wait until we were moved in and settled. And if you’ve every moved your family before, you know how much stress is involved with that day to day situation. So just trying to get a house put away while my wife and I continued working full time and the kids learned a new school wasn’t easy. Adding such a big projects as replacing the residential HVAC seemed like a bad idea. But moving here came with a change in climate. And we certainly weren’t going into this sort of intense Summer heat with an 27 year old heat pump. The house came as is and we got it for a great price. But getting the new heat pump was just essential before the Summer. So that meant we had to get on it. Thanks to the local HVAC company that came so highly recommended, we were able to get that HVAC upgrade with the most minimal of hassles. And our current HVAC technician was on the team that installed our new heat pump. Recently, I was home during the Spring air conditioning tune up and asked if I could just hang out and watch. Honestly, I learned so much about the heat pump and HVAC technology that I wanted to ride with him to his next stop.
