My fiance and I have been working to upgrade our new lake house. We were lucky to land the best deal with this lake house about two years back. It was during a time when we were seeking a house to buy. But, we never ever dreamt our first home would be a lake house. Our realtor said we should drive around the lake area and see the communities. This happened after we mentioned one day we’d love to live in a lake house. There was a two-bedroom lake house in the local community up for sale and to our surprise it was within our budget. At first, we worried something was wrong with it, hence the price, but that wasn’t the case. The owner needed money urgently, and this was actually her third home. Anyway, we bought the lake house and now we are busy tackling different upgrades. My fiance recently chose to begin working on the roof and the siding of the lake house. We hired a local roofing company to handle the roof and advise us on the best action to take. The roofing contractor was honest about the damage on the roof and he explained the pros and cons of roof repair. After some consideration, we decided to change both the roof and the siding on the lake house. The roofers will be coming to remove the old roof next week. We also got a siding company coming to check it out and give the best recommendation for our home. After handling both the roof and siding, next will be deck repair making the exterior look even better.
