I started to get comfortable at the gym

Initially when I signed up for a gym membership, I had no idea how to effectively or officially exercise.

I was intimidated by the gym members who seemed to be proficient using all of the workout machines. I worried about embarrassing myself or potential injury! However, I was determined to lose a little weight plus improve my physical fitness. I just wasn’t sure how to go about it. For my first few trips to the gym, I strictly rode the stationary bike. I figured that there was no way to screw that up. The machine is legitimately simple. I pedaled the bike for a solid hour before adding any resistance. By playing around with the several buttons, I learned how to properly use the wide variety of programs. I could choose a route that included lots of hills plus customize the length plus the difficulty of my session, and getting usual with the bike helped to supply me a bit of confidence. I was sure that I could manage the treadmill as well. The first few times, I strictly walked on the treadmill. Over time, I worked my way up to sprinting plus even adding an incline. I was so focused on becoming a sort-of expert at operating the machines, that I wasn’t all that aware of how I was improving my strength plus my stamina. It wasn’t until after I’d mastered the elliptical that I looked in the mirror plus noticed the changes plus improvements in my body. I’d lost a bit of weight plus acquired muscle tone. I was also confident exploring the machine plus machines at the gym. I tried using the rowing machines plus enjoyed it. I studied blogs on how to best hot up, stretch plus cool down. I rewarded myself with a current wardrobe of athletic attire plus a truly fantastic quality pair of sneakers.
