I wasn’t sure if winter time would ever end. My spouse and I had so much bad weather this year that we were afraid we would not have the old furnace updated before another winter began. Then one afternoon, we woke up to pigeons singing, and sunshine glistening off the snow. My spouse and I checked the weather report, and they were talking about uneven temperatures in the fifties for the entire week, and one day was going to be in the sixties. We knew the snow was going to be melting, but my spouse and I weren’t turning the furnace off. That didn’t mean we would not check out the cost of new heating systems for the next winter. My spouse and I looked at all the heating systems online and picked the one we liked. He contacted the Heating & A/C business and put in a tentative order for the new furnace. When winter time was finally over, he called the Heating & A/C business and asked them to deliver our furnace and install it. But they had no idea what he was talking about. My spouse told them he had ordered the furnace late this Springtime. They said they had no hard copy of the order and asked if he had ordered it from them. My spouse couldn’t believe what he was hearing. He ordered a furnace, but the Heating & A/C business didn’t know he put in the order. I stopped him and explained he had put in a tentative order earlier, but he had never sent them a check to pay for it. It surprised him when I sided with the Heating & A/C corporation, but my spouse soon realized I was right.
