I learned a hard lesson about a year ago when my friend and I were closing on a apartment purchase in this area, but my pal and I had negotiated with the seller however there were particular repairs my friend and I wanted done to the apartment before my friend and I moved in, and at the time, this seemed like the easiest way to secure a livable property separate from any extra headaches.
My pal and I would not have to hunt down the suppliers or supervise the labor that they were doing, my friend and I simply waited for the labor to be done & would transport straight into the house, and unfortunately, this was not the right way to do things, however it turns out, when you let the property seller complete the property repairs, they often do it as cheap as possible. In the end, they made it irreparable disfigurements to the property instead of fixing it, that’s why, this time around I am not taking any chances. I have been negotiating the price of a up-to-date property for sale in my area, & I am not willing to budge on several ventilation projects. The apartment is lacking a ventilation fan in the powder room, which genuinely won’t fulfill my air quality needs. I know better than to have a humid powder room separate from an overhead exhaust fan. It’s necessary to unconnect the extra humidity after every shower, unless you want to scrub mold & mildew from your walls. That being said, I would like to handle the exhaust fan upgrade on my own. I can hire my own Heating, Ventilation & A/C serviceman & make sure that the job is done correctly. The owner is insistent that they can complete to the ventilation rehabs before I transport in, however I am not falling for it again.
