Hesitant about planning trip

When I got a call last evening from my son expressing his problem over an upcoming trip I was surprised.

Our family goes on a week long trip each year and he has constantly been excited to go.

My friend and I try and see a current locale each time and visit various of the historic regions along the East Coast. This year my pal and I are planning a week long tour of the neighborhood of Gettysburg. He is a history buff so I assumed he would be as excited as all the people else but evidently he has a lot of concerns about the weather. It isn’t like my pal and I camp out when my pal and I go on trip, my pal and I stay in hotels that have full Heating and A/C systems and my pal and I rent vehicles so that my pal and I know that my pal and I have quality heat and air conditioner so it did not make much sense to me; When I pressed him for more reasons that the trip might be bothering him he said that he had spoken with some of his friends who said that the weather can be entirely tepid in the middle of July and that was when my pal and I were planning to go. His one buddy said that he was on the six hour tour of the battle grounds and it was nearly a hundred degrees out. The said that the sunshine was so tepid that it made him feel like he was going to pass out. I reminded him that that same buddy had a drastic problem with celebrationing and he was more than likely hung over during the afternoon he went on his tour. My son laughed and said I was actually right. Besides, if the afternoon was too overheated my pal and I were there long enough that my pal and I could do part of the tour and then go back the following afternoon to finish it up. I am glad he agreed to go because it wouldn’t be the same without him.
