They still use modular offices to this very day.

Whenever I see modular offices, I think back to the offices my dad went into whenever he went to buy a used car! With six young kids, he bought a lot of seasoned cars, but wherever Dad bought them, the modular offices all looked the same, and my buddy and I had to sit quietly! I thought the boxy modular offices were a thing of the past until I moved to this city! Here there was always some kind of construction being done, and the hub of the corporation were the modular offices.

Whoever was head of the construction, was in one modular office telling all the workers where they were working, that day and making sure that it was running on time.

The owner of the construction corporation has his own small modular office which in several cases, he shares with the architect. I found this out by watching cable shows. It’s interesting to watch the people working below when I am in my office 25 or thirty floors up. I looked down from my fifth floor apartment, and although people didn’t look as tiny, it was still a humbling experience. I could not imagine being inside one of those tiny modular offices for ten or twelve hours a day. I get claustrophobic in my two room loft apartment, but all the construction workers look cheerful. I actually would be cheerful too, if I got to work in the fresh air all day, and not be trapped in an office. As much as I thought modular offices were just a thing of the past, I found out how wrong I was when I finally moved to the city.
