My husband John has always wanted to buy an RV so that we could drive across the country. This had been his dream even before we got married, but it became one of those desires that got placed on the back burner. Well, when the pandemic hit and we began working from home, he viewed it as an opportunity to buy his dream RV that he has always wanted. So, after shopping around for a couple of months, we found the perfect RV with enough room for the entire family. We made the purchase in late June, and we made our first trip in July. Well, as you already know, July is typically one of the hottest months of the year. And that Summer didn’t disappoint, in fact, we experienced some record breaking temperatures. Due to the high levels of heat, the air conditioner inside the RV could not keep up, which resulted in a few sleepless nights. After chatting with a few RV owners that we met during our travels, we decided to take some of their suggestions. One included purchasing a portable air conditioner for the RV. We had never used a portable air conditioner before because 1) we never needed one and 2) we didn’t believe that they worked well. Despite our skepticism, we went ahead and purchased one of the best portable air conditioners on the market. And to our surprise, the portable air conditioner became our saving grace. The unit worked so well that I forgot that I was sleeping in an RV. Since then, we purchased another portable air conditioner for the RV and ever since, we have had the most comfortable experience while we cruise across the country.
