I get a lot of unproper & different repair calls & sometimes it’s a truly bizarre request, then not that many of months ago, A lady called me to service the boiler, but she made an appointment for 10:00 in the day & I was there bright & early.
The lady told me she wanted me to service the boiler first.
I did not understand what she meant when she told me that she wanted me to service the boiler first. When I was done with the tune up, I wrote up an invoice & went back to the house. The lady was standing in a nightgown & was barely dressed. I turned around & walked outside & stood on the front porch. I told the woman that I was finished with the boiler service & she made a lewd comment to me. I told the woman that I needed her to sign the paperwork for the service request. She told me to come & get it, so I left. I have been in circumstances like this in the past, and my boss was perfectly glad with the option that I made & he called the customer to tell her that she would need to find a different Heating, Ventilation, & A/C service provider next time she needed help with the boiler; He did not even charge the lady for the boiler service, which got me thinking. If she tried that with a different contractor everytime, would it work? I don’t know the answer, but I do know that the lady was genuinely out of line & her behavior was bizarre.
