Moving from my home to my current place of employment has not been a seamless transition.
I grew up in the city, but thanks to my grandfather, I was exposed to a variety of animals.
Once, my grandfather invited a veterinarian to assist in the birth of a calf, and I was able to observe the entire event. That’s when I realized I wanted to become a veterinarian and help animals. I graduated from college and began training in small vet offices in the city, but the farmlands were my most desired location. Last year, when a position at a rural veterinary clinic became available, I relocated. This is a place where I can do a lot of good, but it is not without its challenges, so I recently rented a house near a state park so I could be close to nature. When I moved in, however, I noticed that there was a problem with the heating; living in this region of the country means that it gets chilly quite quickly. So, on a chilly evening, I turned on the boiler to heat up. However, something was amiss as the temperature control was inoperative. This astonished me because it is impossible to survive the harsh winters without proper heating. A coworker provided me with contact information for a local heating and air conditioning serviceman. The woman is an independent worker who could reach my apartment quickly. I discussed the defective temperature control with the heating and air conditioning technician, and an hour later she arrived at my door. Thankfully, she was able to replace the defective thermostat with a modern one, and I can now enjoy heating in my modern home.
